Just like our Candidates and Clients, we are real people, flesh and blood. We have unique personalities and unique stories. We come from culturally diverse backgrounds, and therefore bring diverse strengths, experiences and insights to the table. Although we like to take advantage of the latest technology, we believe that successful recruitment needs the human touch. We listen to our Candidates and Clients and take time to get to know them.

The only way to build a great company is to build a great team.  We know that we can deliver great results for our Candidates and Clients only if we work together, share common goals and understand what we are trying to accomplish. At ConsultANZ we foster teamwork through mentoring and coaching, weekly brainstorming sessions and team building events to make sure we always stay on the same page.

We treat our Candidates and Clients with respect because that’s how we want to be treated. We keep things confidential because we don’t like when other people misuse information about us. We do not waste anyone’s time because we don’t like when our time is wasted. We provide recruitment process feedback because we don’t appreciate being left in the dark. To us, professionalism is not wearing a suit and looking smart; to us, it’s conducting ourselves with integrity, responsibility, and accountability. Our Values are central to how we operate.

We Are Networkers.

Being successful at recruitment is all about building long-term, trusting relationships. Our Client and Candidate networks are our most valuable and important asset. Many of our placements are identified through our Referral Scheme because we believe that great Candidates know other great Candidates. With over 50% of engineers in Australia born overseas, we recognise that connecting with global talent is extremely important and we make continuous efforts to expand our international networks. We are often the first port of call for Australians and New Zealanders returning home after living overseas.

We Are Specialists.

Our Founder, and Director Peter Laver is a degree qualified Surveyor who gained over eight years of extensive surveying and civil engineering experience in Australia and the UK before transitioning into recruitment. Our Recruitment Director Richard Christer also has vast industry-specific knowledge having worked on site in both South Africa and the UK. All our Consultants receive extensive training, so they can fully understand the culture, norms and rules of the civil engineering and construction industries.
